Leaky Academic Writing

Mon, April 20, 10:35am to 12:05pm, Virtual Room

Abstract

In this conceptual paper we discuss how qualitative researchers might write with always already leaky gendered bodies. We form assemblages of writing by following Manning’s theorization of leaky bodies and leaky-writing. Here the mucosity and the leakiness of our storylines, narratives of affects and processes work as anchor through which we process our differentiating materialized bodily realities in the academia. The focus is therefore in the materialized narrative intensities which through the academic writing practices, movement of affects in the academia fold into acts of writing, hand-pens and thinking-feelings.
