Efficacy of a Musical Intervention to Support Reading Skills and Motivation for Students With Exceptionalities: A Pilot Study

Abstract

Students with specific learning disabilities such as dyslexia often struggle with reading and reading-related tasks. This mixed-method study investigated the potential efficacy of a musical intervention to support the reading skills and motivation of students with SLDs. Results indicate positive results for participating students, including growth of at least one reading level for all participants.
