Do Academic Social Supports Predict Retention of Latinx College Students?

Abstract

This study examined academic social supports in relationship to second- and third-year college retention of Latinx students. Family persistence support positively predicted peer, faculty and university supports. Faculty and university supports were negative and positive predictors, respectively, of second-year retention. The poster presentation will discuss implications for research and practice.
