This presentation reports on the results of research on family leadership in Education CAFEs. We report both quantitative and qualitative results but focus on the voices of families. Because Education CAFEs are community-based, they thrive with this new kind of family leadership. Each Education CAFE defines its own goals and activities and changes with the context of the community, the schools, and the times. Although these families are often economically poor, they are rich in leadership skills and commitment to improving education for all children.
