There are few models that embody ways to visualize the interactive and often dialectical interplay evident in methodologically complex, integrated mixed methods research. This methodological essay informs practice by offering examples of procedural diagrams that foreground integration. The models expand thinking about procedural diagrams to include those that represent the dynamics of an interactive, interdisciplinary team. The analysis highlights tensions with conventional terminology associated with basic two-phase concurrent and sequential designs.
