With increasing developments in Computer Mediated Communication (CMC) technologies, the field of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) education have been revolutionized with alternative teaching and learning methods. This study investigated the effect of using asynchronous CMC on Farsi-speaking EFL learners’ writing performance in terms of complexity, accuracy, and fluency (CAF). It also explored the participants’ attitudes towards using CMC in foreign language classes. A quasi-experimental research design was employed, with 60 participants in two groups of experimental and control. The results revealed that experimental group with CMC instruction significantly outperformed the control group in their English writings. They also indicated positive attitudes towards using CMC in their writing classes.
