This paper discusses the experiences of Jewish parents participating in diversity and inclusion initiatives in an urban, Midwestern elementary school that has historically been attended by white, affluent, Protestant students, and has employed teachers of similar backgrounds. As a result, the school has developed traditions that are heavily based in a white, christonormative ontology.
