Undergraduate Students' Engagement, Self-Efficacy, and Course Selection Decision Making

Abstract

Previous studies found that students’ self-efficacy affected their academic performance. However, research has not focused on understanding the relationship between students’ engagement, self-efficacy, and course selection decision-making in terms of their academic performance. Thus, further investigation is required on how to measure the impact of self-efficacy, academic engagement, and decision-making on students’ academic achievement. Undergraduate students (N= 308) helped to analyze the psychometric properties of these scales. The descriptive statistics, the factor structure, and internal consistency reliability of scales and subscales were reported.
