Mon, April 20, 2:15 to 3:45pm, Virtual Room

Abstract

This study discusses preview learning in shadow education in South Korea. Most Korean students participate in shadow education, and the most important teaching strategy in shadow education is preview learning, in which students study subjects earlier than their classmates through shadow education. Preview learning is a regional characteristic of Korea and an emerging culture of learning. This study shows the learning experience of Korean students under shadow education by researching the types, meanings, and unexpected results of preview learning.
