Teachers around the world, serving in remote areas experience professional isolation since they do not have easy access to many professional development opportunities (Bouck, 2004). Yet, the utilization of educational research has the potential to alleviate this issue. Therefore, this study examines through Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), the interplay between research skills, knowledge, efficacy, and attitudes, in relation to teacher’s intentions to use research for professional development purposes in remote schools in Greece.
