Sun, April 19, 12:25 to 1:55pm, Virtual Room

Abstract

The current challenges in producing and retaining STEM talent in the U.S. to meet workforce demands can be overcome through deliberate and sustained investments of federal resources in institutions that are mission-driven to increase STEM participation for underrepresented minority groups. This study examines STEM persistence and graduation rates for underrepresented minority students that was achieved at an HBCU by a STEM intervention project designed and implemented through funding from the National Science Foundation.
