In this paper, we present the third-year development cycle of the Minnesota Inference Assessment (MIA), a technology-based assessment of inference-making for students in grades K-2. We administered the assessment to N = 272 K-2nd grade students. Results revealed that the reliability of our assessment is high and that the items cover a wide range of difficulties that align with our students’ abilities. Based on the results, we also divided the MIA into four, shorter parallel forms and evaluated students’ growth using these forms. In general, our results showed adequate psychometric properties and highlight the potential of the MIA to be used by practitioners in applied settings.
