Abstract

This study examines how civically oriented Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander Serving Institutions (AANAPISIs) build capacity. By contrasting a west coast community college and an east coast four-year university, new pathways are forged to recognize the critical role that federally funded AANAPISIs play in empowering students, staff, faculty, and administrators to transform their institutions and communities.
