The purpose of this paper was to summarize and propose a coaching model used by experienced instructional technology coaches to promote and facilitate maker education integration in K-12 schools. The researchers conducted semi-structured interviews with 17 experienced instructional technology coaches who had not only immense technological pedagogical content knowledge (TPACK) and years of teaching experiences but also extensive knowledge and skills on the integration of instructional technology and maker education in K-12 schools. A coaching model with specific phases and steps was generated from this research. Scholarly significance of this coaching model is discussed.
