This study investigated organization innovation promoted by champions. Based on the approach that innovation depends on a combination of employee behaviors and organizational processes, the authors argue that champion behavior and internal and external boundaries activities predict organization creativity and implementation. Moreover, organization innovation depends on organization context (charismatic leadership and the manager's "Big 5" personality traits and climate for innovation). Result from a study of 86 schools confirmed that champions' behavior promotes internal and external boundary activities and organization creativity. The relationship between champion behavior and creativity is mediate by internal boundaries activities. Moreover, manager extroversion enhances the relationship between championship behavior and creativity, and charismatic leadership, manager extroversion and conscientiousness moderates the relationship between championship and organizational implementation.
