Afro-Latinxs’ unique position dual identity provides a distinct vantage point in school context with culturally diverse learners. This study explores the experiences of Afro-Latinx school leaders in order to give them a voice in the literature. Using intersectionality as a lens, key findings revealed: 1) identity development stages; 2) empathy as a leadership practice and; 3) the influence of gender. This study advocates for research on the complexity of this duality in educational leadership.
