Belonging, Satisfaction, and Engagement in Academic Behaviors in College

Abstract

This study utilized data from the Student Experience in the Research University (SERU) to examine the relationship between students’ sense of belonging, satisfaction and academic behaviors. Results suggest that sense of belonging is positive associated with positive behaviors and negatively associated with unfavorable academic behaviors. Findings have implications for higher education regarding the influence of belonging and matter at colleges of universities.
