The objective of this paper is to offer a critical account of neoliberal globalization and how it is transforming the work of three faculty members in higher education. These transformations hold serious implications for the discussion on the power and possibilities of higher education in the 21st Century and what this might mean to the current international project, the Assessment of Higher Education Learning Outcomes (AHELO). More specifically, this paper explores the rise of the neoliberal rationality and the shifting focus of quality assurance to that of quantity assurance.
