Applied educational researchers may be interested in exploring random slope effects in multilevel models. These are effects for which the slope of an individual-level coefficient varies depending on group membership. However, currently there is no clear way for applied researchers to report an effect size for this effect. The present study fills this gap by suggesting and evaluating multiple measures to do this based on values for change in R2. Results indicate that multiple of these measures may be feasible. Considerations for use scenarios and recommendations for future research are provided.
