The purpose of this paper is to examine the effect of AIW implementation on the quality of teacher tasks in Iowa public high schools. Using data from teacher tasks, teacher logs, and scorer information, this paper explores factors contributed to the quality of teacher tasks through Ordinary Least Square (OLS) regression analysis. Results show that teachers at AIW implemented schools have a better quality of teacher tasks than teachers at Non-AIW implemented schools. There are also other significant factors that affect the quality of teacher tasks, such as teacher effort, perceived competence, years of teaching experience, and scorer’s level of expertise. And these effects differ by four subjects.
