Relationship Between Self-Determination, Self-Efficacy, Procrastination, and Quality of Life Among College Students With Psychiatric Disabilities

Sat, April 18, 8:15 to 9:45am, Virtual Room

Abstract

The number of college students with psychiatric disabilities continues to grow, yet evidence shows that these students face a multitude of barriers to successful learning and persistence in higher education, as well as challenges related to health and wellbeing. Research is warranted that better elucidates the relationship between malleable environmental factors, such as support for the self-determination, and pertinent outcomes related to motivation and wellbeing among college students with psychiatric disabilities. The purpose of the current study was to examine the relationship between students’ perceived support for their basic psychological needs, motivation, and wellbeing.
