The purpose of this case study was to examine the impact of pre-service teachers’ personal characteristics on their coping strategies with stress and teaching styles as teaching to avatars. Research participants consisted of 15 pre-service teachers within a college of education at a university in the southeastern US. The data were obtained from interviews, case studies, observations, Big Five Inventory and Bioharness software, and analyzed using multiple coding methods. The results provide innovative suggestions to education community to provide comprehensive support to pre-service teachers to realize their traits for effective teaching.
