This study forms part of a larger ethnographic study that examined the daily-lived experiences of children, teachers, principal and parents who participated in a two-way dual language immersion program at the Westside Head Start Center located in South Central Texas. This paper reports the early findings generated by the data collected of four two-way dual language teachers’ ideologies and their perspectives about the characteristics that signify a high-quality early childhood program.
