The Community College Presidency Demystified: Creating a LatinX Leadership Pipeline in the United States

Abstract

This paper proposal presents a study in progress of a national, culturally-tailored leadership fellows program for LatinX administrators in community colleges in the United States. The (Program Name) is designed to provide leadership and professional development to expand the pipeline of well-prepared LatinX administrators who aspire to leadership positions in community colleges. The purpose of this study is to explore the effectiveness and impact of a leadership intervention with LatinX participants. With an increased demand for leadership diversity in community colleges to reflect the communities in which they serve, more empirical evidence is needed to determine if culturally tailored leadership programs are an effective method to equip LatinX administrators for leadership roles.
