In Europe, research collaborations across borders, sectors and stakeholders are facilitated by the Erasmus+ programme. This paper highlights how the data generated by one such research collaboration is being used by one of the research partners to embed high quality eportfolio practices in their home institution. Situated in a professional learning network context and shaped by Jackson’s learning ecology, this paper shows how the trans-European learning about the use of eportfolios by students, teachers and workplaces can impact curriculum, pedagogic practices, learning environments and student experiences. The focus of the paper is on how data generated in large scale projects can be, and should be, translated into real benefits for students.
