Abstract

In this article, I use tenets of autoethnography in the form of narrative inquiry to mark my journey through grief and hope within a Qualitative Research certificate program. Incorporating echoes of Anzalduan thought and “stop moments.” I seek to demonstrate, from a doctoral student
perspective, but also a human perspective, how QR classrooms can become spaces that move
beyond methodologies and subjectivities to become safe spaces to confront challenges, create growth, incite healing, and most importantly, to move beyond our current understanding of what constitutes knowledge.
