The 2020 American Educational Research Association (AERA) conference theme focuses on the impact of researcher and stakeholder collaboration and the public good. Addressing the public good requires that university-based researchers and research teams are prepared to engage community stakeholders in efforts to address what have been referred to as wicked problems. Translational research as practiced by a specific university center’s research scientists and affiliates may hold significant promise for addressing any number of wicked problems. This center’s affiliates are currently engaged in a systematic review of the literature related to models or frameworks that support the translation of scientific knowledge into applications that address organizational and/or societal problems. The proposed session highlights the results of this review of the literature.
