Advancing Latino Male Student Success: An Analysis of Longitudinal Data to Achieve 60x30TX

Tue, April 21, 12:25 to 1:55pm, Virtual Room

Abstract

This study used longitudinal statewide data to examine the educational outcomes of Latino male students in Texas. Aligned with the priorities set by the state through 60x30TX, this study used preliminary findings to develop policy recommendations tailored to policymakers with the necessary agency to advance statewide educational and workforce needs. Through a critical race framework of intersectionality, this study urges researchers and policymakers to incorporate intersectionality into quantitative approaches to capture the nuances of individual experiences across different groups and regions of the country.
