Numerous studies have so far confirmed that cooperative learning in the classroom can have positive effects on the motivation, learning success and social competences of students. However, numerous prerequisites must be fulfilled to assume an effective interaction of the group members. Teachers should systematically prepare the process, e.g. select a suitable task. Additionally, the group-related learning process has to be monitored during group work. The presentation and evaluation of the group results also play an important role. In this context, we have developed a German-speaking student questionnaire that takes into account the specific requirements of group-related learning processes in the classroom. The questionnaire was validated in three sub-studies by combining quantitative and qualitative methods.
