Regression discontinuity designs (RDD) in higher education are often derived from cut-offs in standardized exams (e.g. ACT). Following Kolesár and Rothe (2018), I compare statistical inferences from several RDD applications and critique the commonly-used standard errors clustered by test scores as suggested by Lee and Card (2008).
