Since schools often lack systematic approaches to educating immigrant and refugee students, school and district leaders need to understand how to effectively expand educational opportunities for this population. All students have a right to optimal opportunities that enhance resilience and promote learning. Considered both academic and psychosocial needs, educators are charged with providing students an integrated, holistic educational experience. Applying the principles of improvement science, the purpose of this research project is to answer the central question: How does a networked improvement community influence organizational learning that expands immigrants’ and refugees’ opportunities to learn?
