The implementation of interconnected manufacturing at companies may have broad implications for its stakeholders including changes in learning culture. Digital competence is increasingly required in this context. Therefore, expected multidisciplinary digital competencies of learners were analyzed. For this study 30 interviews were conducted with focus on necessary digital competencies of future employees. As a result seven dimensions of multidisciplinary digital competence for different professional domains were created. The opportunity to train multidisciplinary digital competence is given to the teaching through latest technology.
Findings highlight the importance of structured implementation of learning factories and the preparation of all stakeholders for Industry 4.0 processes on organizational and personal level.
