Should colleges and universities restrict or sanction faculty speech on social media? Should they permit faculty tweets posts, blogs, and the like to influence tenure and promotion decisions? Beyond questions of legality, this detail-rich narrative case aims to consider normative issues surrounding academic freedom, free speech, and social media use.
