Music Performance Self-Efficacy Scale (MPSES) was designed and used for secondary school students in school settings. The purpose of this study was to examine the validity and reliability of using the MPSES among seniors in community music programs. There were 80 participants, age over 65 years participated in this study. Participants have a mixture of a wide range of musical backgrounds. Results are different from previous studies that verbal/social persuasion has the highest ranking in the strength of the correlation between each of the four sources and the overall self-efficacy. Study results indicated that music facilitator has an important role in learner-centered community music programs. Implementations of how to provide meaningful community music participatory experience were provided.
