This qualitative study utilized narrative inquiry and testimonio methodologies to obtain in-depth data. Through a queer of color (QOC) critique and transformational resistance as its theoretical framework, I endeavored to examine the lives of undocumented gay Latinos navigating a higher education institution. Analysis of the narrative data revealed that undocumented gay Latinos face a myriad of challenges as they navigate these institutions. However, the data analysis also revealed that undocumented gay Latinos implement transformational resistance (Solorzano & Delgado Bernal, 2001) behaviors as a way to confront challenges and oppressions. A QOC critique (Brockenbrough, 2015; Ferguson, 2004) envisions a future that interrogates social formations as a way to disrupt hetero/homonormative racist nativist attitudes.
