There is dissatisfaction concerning the extent of integration of ICT for teaching-learning processes in various academic disciplines. One barrier delaying optimal integration of ICT tools is the disciplinary barrier, seemingly due to the lack of understanding that ICT tools can directly serve the teaching.
This study investigated an intervention program planned to minimize the disciplinary barrier in mother tongue language teaching. The study examines teachers` perceptions regarding the contribution of ICT tools for the teaching of the discipline and the effectiveness of a unique framework for professional learning before and after the intervention program. The findings indicate that following the use of this framework, teachers significantly changed their perceptions regarding the purpose of using ICT tools in language teaching.
