As momentum builds around “computer science (CS) for all,” the many ways that young people are responding to these CS-focused initiatives remains an important area of exploration. This paper contributes to this area an analysis of data collected with students (n=47) participating in a 10-week summer session of a library-based code club (June 2017 - August 2017). Observational, artefactual, and audio-recorded data were qualitatively coded (Saldana, 2015) to identify the ways that students learned across virtual and face-to-face contexts. Findings suggest that a variety of creative practices were observed while students engaged with digital content, computational procedures, and social contexts. This paper provides additional evidence into the ways that organizational stakeholders can support students engaging across these dimensions.
