A Need for Collaboration in Social Entrepreneurship: Participatory Action Research in Higher Education

Mon, April 20, 4:05 to 5:35pm, Virtual Room

Abstract

The emergence of social entrepreneurship has prompted higher education to engage in a variety of educational activities with social implications. However, at present, social entrepreneurship initiated by higher education lacks collaborative work with various community stakeholders. This study employs Participatory Action Research (PAR) to re-evaluate how higher education is to engage in social entrepreneurship in collaboration with various community stakeholders. To this end, the purpose of the study aims to create innovative solutions through actions that entail a new way of engaging in social entrepreneurship and transfer benefits to the greater society for the public good.
