This paper illustrates the promise of research-practice partnerships in improving student outcomes. I describe a partnership between the University of Delaware and a restorative practices training provider. I discuss our efforts to build a relationship that will be a foundation for our future work together. This partnership shows great promise for developing research studies that can improve the provider's work in schools and address racial disparities in school discipline. For example, a logic model and a student survey were created. This paper speaks to AERA’s theme because it illustrates the public good from researchers-organization partnerships to develop useful, timely studies.
