This conceptual paper situates neoliberal higher education reform in Honduras in relation to the emergence of student movements in post-coup Honduras. As an alternative to dominant theoretical frameworks, a decolonial theoretical perspective is proposed to understand the emergence of student movements and the unsettling of the neocolonial curriculum.
