In this paper, Michel Foucault’s concept of power/knowledge and Patricia Hill Collins’ (2000) Black Feminist Thought are addressed in relation to Black women administrators that work in Multicultural Student Programs and Services (MSPS) at a Predominantly White Institution (PWI). A dearth in literature concerning Black women administrators experiences in a MSPS role at a PWI in tangent to power relations, is the driving force behind my research study. Therefore, this paper creates a rationale for their conceptualization and use together.
