Abstract

The retention of teachers of Color continues to draw attention from researchers, policymakers, and school districts. Shifting the discourse from teacher failure to transformational resistance, this article explores the counternarratives of four teachers of Color who choose to leave their classrooms. These narratives highlight and reframe their commitment to social justice.
