Young dual language learners (DLL) are among the fastest growing school population. Quality early childhood experience will build a robust growth trajectory for these children. The Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS) is claimed to capture the quality experience needed for children's social and academic development and gaining popularity among policymakers and system administrators. Yet, serious concerns were raised among advocates and scholars about the fit of the CLASS for dual language learners. This study, conducted by a group of third party scholars, aims to determine the factorial invariance of CLASS when the population of interest is DLLs.
