Fostering School Development for Gifted Students' Needs

Abstract

In the German LemaS project, educational researchers support schools to enhance gifted education. Employing researchers in school development processes is rather novel in Germany. To address the resulting challenges, researchers and practitioners worked together at eye level, developing, applying and reviewing specific tools to shape development processes. Results from this design-based study show that this approach is widely appreciated and has the potential to reduce the gap between educational practice and research.
