Abstract

This study reports on the initial results of a Developing Hispanic Serving Institutions (DHSI) project focused on a professional development (PD) for university faculty to design and implement a freshman-learning community that recruits, retains, and ultimately credentials and graduates Hispanic and low-income teachers.
