This film uses footage of urban street art to compare and contrast two approaches to filmic scholarship: one that is transdisciplinary and one that is presentational. The film highlights transdisciplinary distinctions between the use of audio and visual equipment to conduct—as opposed to record—scientific methods. The data suggest transdisciplinarity is a continuum with journalistic methods of documentation at one end of the spectrum and the systematic use of camera equipment at the other. The film brings a digital perspective on the scientific constructs of objectivity and subjectivity.
