College classrooms have the potential to encourage critical consciousness development by implementing critical reflection about systems of oppression. This case study examines media journals from 20 college students who took a course on masculinity and education. Preliminary findings illustrate student’s critical reflection on their consumption, reproduction, and ways of challenging hegemonic masculinity.
