Creative self-efficacy is an individual’s belief in his or her ability to produce creative outcomes and has been linked to increases in creative performance and production. The construct of creative self-efficacy has typically been measured using three items— a limitation noted by researchers that have examined creative self-efficacy relationships. This study was a response to that noted limitation. In this exploratory study, researchers developed a creative self-efficacy scale guided by Bandura’s (2006) principles. An exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis supported a 15-item, single-factor solution (Coefficient alpha = .93). Implications, limitations, and areas of future research are also discussed.
