Two Chicanx researchers and one Black researcher create critical leadership pathways for their Students of Color (SoC) to academically achieve, graduate high school, and enter and graduate from post-secondary institutions. The researchers are faculty of color scholars as stakeholders committed to the public good of our SoC inciting and modeling their truths to rise up authentically declaring their community cultural wealth in counterstories. This research examines the counternarratives of these scholar leaders of color. The research is grounded in three major findings: (1) co-mentoring as a means to resist and talk back to dominant oppressive and majoritarian institutions; (2) insighting community cultural wealth as meaningful for student academic and personal achievement; and (3) reclaiming purpose in one’s leadership.
