The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of education on income and wealth social mobility in Korea. Does education have associations with earnings and asset changes even after a person enters the labor market or after the retirement? How income and wealth intra-generational social mobility vary from one generation to another? To answer these questions, this paper analyzed KWPS data using Ordinal Logit Regression model to estimate intra-generational social mobility by different cohorts. As a result, this paper found that there are significant differences between generational cohorts in income and wealth social mobility and the effects of education on social mobility.
